Next Edition of , biennale of photographic art in Ottawa-Gatineau
The festival's organizing committee is proud to be announcing that the next complete edition of Festival X will take place in the fall 2010, from September 23 to October 3.
We encourage you to program a photography exhibition or a photography event (discussion, lecture, screening) during the period of the festival in September 2010, and join Festival X and gain on its momentum. Our registration period will start in February 2010 and more details are to follow in the New Year.
Festival X, biennale of photographic art in Ottawa would also like to invite all local art exhibitors and curators to consider the theme of inclusion and exclusion and the role it plays in the practice of contemporary photography. For a full description of the 2010 proposed thematic focus please consult the attached bilingual word document.
We thank you for the support you have expressed to X in the past years, and we look forward to your renewed involvement.
In our past two editions of the festival several galleries and exhibiting venues have enjoyed considerable and increased exposure from their association with Festival X and we look forward to your active participation in Festival X 2010. X, Festival de photo d'Ottawa, biennale d'art photographique à Ottawa-Gatineau
Le comité organisateur du Festival X est fier d'annoncer la prochaine édition complète du festival qui se tiendra à l'automne 2010, soit du 23 septembre au 3 octobre.
Nous vous invitons à programmer une exposition de photographies ou une activité photographique (débat, conférence, visionnement) pendant cette période, à vous joindre au Festival X et à poursuivre sur sa lancée. Notre période d'inscription débutera en février 2010 et de plus amples renseignements suivront au cours de la Nouvelle Année.
X, Festival de photo d'Ottawa, invite également tous les exposants et les commissaires d'exposition d'art des deux côtés de la rivière à songer au thème de l'inclusion et de l'exclusion et au rôle que cette dynamique joue dans la pratique de la photographie contemporaine.
